Recovery of different turbine elements
During 2023, we worked on the G1 Group (Kaplan type) of the Ottmarsheim Hydroelectric Power Station, in France, for our customer VOITH HYDRO.
- GOAL
- TOLERANCES REQUESTED
- ACHIEVEMENT
Recovery of different turbine elements Flange and Ø6050 H7 of the foundation ring Surfacing of the upper face of the lower ring (Ø6900 to Ø8700) then machining of the face and diameter Ø6900 Undercoating of headgear (Ø6900 to Ø8700) Addition of modifications on the 48 sealing pots (drilling-tapping, facing)
- Horizontality and flatness of machined planes: 0.02 mm/m Bores: H7 Floor depth: 0.1 mm
- Surface Condition: Ra 6.3
Our intervention took place in several stages:
- Step 1: Analysis of the subject in our Design Office (feasibility, 3D modeling of the turbine, implementation of our machines in the 3D work environment for the different operations).
- Step 2: Carrying out pre-work checks (Laser Tracker) by an external company.
- Step 3: Installation of our machines on site and machining.
- Step 4: Realization of after-work checks (Laser Tracker) by an external company.
3D MODELLING
The planing and boring operations to be carried out require two positions for our first machine (low position and high position) as well as several configurations.
The additional modifications for sealing the 48 guide pots require different machines and assemblies (boring machine for the screeds and magnetic drill for the tapping-holes).
