Rehabilitation of a Group (Francis type)

During the year 2023, we intervened on one of the groups (Francis type) of the Hydroelectric Plant of Coo-Trois-Ponts, in Belgium. These operations were carried out as part of a group rehabilitation project by our customer VOITH HYDRO.

GOAL
ACHIEVEMENT

Machining of the following at the spiral sheet:
Ø2286 (+1; +2) at 219 mm height (material removal: 12.7 mm)
Ø2365 H7 on a height of 30 mm (material removal: 36.3 mm)
Ø2444 H7 on a height of 110 mm (material removal: 2.8 mm)
Ø2485 H7 on a height of 141 mm (material removal: 10.5 mm)
Surfacing from diameter Ø4572 to diameter Ø4660 and creating a groove Ø4603 after reloading
Surfacing flange cylindrical door and creation of throat
Surfacing frame holder vacuum cleaner

Our intervention took place in several stages:

Step 1: Analysis of the subject in our Design Office (feasibility, 3D modeling of the spiral cover, the cylindrical door and the vacuum cleaner door frame, implementation of our machines in the 3D work environment for the different operations).
Step 2: Carrying out pre-work checks (Laser Tracker) by an external company.
Step 3: Installation of our machines on site and machining.
Step 4: Realization of after-work checks (Laser Tracker) by an external company.
