TOP and VAD valve refurbishment
During 2023, we worked on the TOP valve and the VAD valve at the Bort-les-Orgues dam in France for our customer EDF.
- Renovation of TOP valve fixed parts (machining of RG and RD surfaces on a height of 10m, installation of wear plates machined in our workshop, against drilling/ tapping of 100 M12 in RG and 100 M12 in RD for fixing these parts)
- Machining of VAD valve threshold knife to achieve sealing
Our intervention took place in several stages:
- Step 1: Analysis of the subject in our Design Office (feasibility, 3D modeling of the TOP valve environment, implementation of our machines in the 3D work environment for the different operations).
- Step 2: Installation of our machines on site and machining.
